We are very blessed here today. Peter started Cycle 4 of his chemo yesterday...we are more than half way through without major problems! Praise God!! He is feeling well today and has been up helping with preparations for our big meal. There will be 6 of us as Amber's boyfriend, Chris, will join us. He is 6'4" and loves the holiday times when he can plan on getting TWO big meals in a day. I think his legs must be hollow. The doctor was very encouraging yesterday. He is not concerned about the lack of progress shown on Peter's CT scans and feels that continuing chemo is wise and prudent especially since he is tolerating it well. We will meet with the surgeon again in January just before the 6th (and last!) cycle of chemo. Then there will be a "rest" period while Peter rebuilds his strength and then surgery. All in all, everything is the best we can hope for. I hope you are having a wonderful day sharing with friends and family. Be sure to give thanks for God's hand in our lives. It is the vital force which gives us life and hope. Many blessings on you all, Peter and Rachelle Our Prayer of Thanksgiving Thank you, Dear Lord for the wonderful friends and family with whom You surround us. Thank you for the many strangers who have reached out to touch us in our time of need. Thank you for the doctors and nurses who are working so hard to help us restore health. Thank you for a warm, safe home to come home to each night. Thank you for preserving our jobs in this time of economic stress. Thank you for healthy children who are each learning to be a bright beacon for You Thank you for a vibrant church family who love us unconditionally. Thank you for providing a way of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you keeping us in Your strong arms for yet another year. Blessed be Your Holy Name. Amen.
