Spring into Fitness.The company that I work for, DRG sponsors a fitness program called Spring Into Fitness and Fall Into Fitness. The purpose is to increase my level of fitness and health.

Step # 7 Start Walking and Breathe more.
Since I recently got serious about regular exercise I figured that I should be a part of the program.
On the weekends weather permitting I ride my bike often an hour or more each day. During the week I walk 20-40 minutes, 2-3 times a week.
Recently I obtained a "CatEye" Cyclocomputer. After wrestling for about an hour to mount it on the bike, (too bad that time didn't count in the fitness program), I was went out for 1.5 hours and traveled 15 miles. The unit features distance, current speed, average speed, odometer, maximum speed, elapsed time, clock.
It's kind of cool to have a device measure my millage. The only down side is that I'm sure that it is a lot more accurate than my guesses.
