It is a cherished bond that a couple can share throughout the marriage. Their sexual satisfaction indirectly affects most other areas of the relationship. When sex is good in a marriage, it represents about 10% to 15% of what is good in the marriage. But when sex is bad in a marriage, it represents about 85% to 90% of what is bad in the marriage.

When a marriage ends in divorce, sexual deprivation is common, and in most cases has occurred over a lengthy time. Many couples who divorce describe their sexual relationship as never having been good, mechanical, or satisfying to only one partner. In these kinds of situations sexual relationship often becomes a tool for control.

Remember, sex is not just a fringe benefit, it is a vital energy that can nourish a relationship throughout the marriage. And the best of all is that God thought it up. He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box.

"She got this the first time we went to New York, 8 or 9 years ago. She has never put it on...was saving it for a special occasion. Well, I guess this is it." He got near the bed and placed the gift box next to the other clothings he was taking to the funeral house; his wife had just died. He turned to me and said:

"Never save something for a special occasion. Every day in your life is a special occasion".

I still think those words changed my life.

Now I read more and clean less. I sit on the porch without worrying about anything. I spend more time with my family, and less at work. I understood that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to, not survived through. I no longer keep anything. I use crystal glasses every day. I'll wear new clothes to go to the supermarket, if I feel like it. I don't save my special perfume for special occasions, I use it whenever I want to. The words "Someday..." and "One Day..." are fading away from my dictionary. If it's worth seeing, listening or doing, I want to see, listen or do it now.

I don't know what my friend's wife would have done if she knew she wouldn't be there the next morning, this nobody can tell. I think she might have called her relatives and closest friends. She might call old friends to make peace over past quarrels. I'd like to think she would go out for Chinese, her favourite food. It's these small things that I would regret not doing, if I knew my time had come. I would regret it, because I would no longer see the friends I would meet, letters... letters that I wanted to write "One of these days" I would regret and feel sad, because I didn't say to my brothers and sons, not enough times at least, how much I love them. Now, I try not to delay, postpone or keep anything that could bring laughter and joy into our lives.
And, on each morning, I say to myself that this could be a special day. Each day, each hour, each minute, is special.

It is Spring time.

After 49 years, I am learning to love God's creation. Some how, some how.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't pray that it be changed. But for a while, Let's stop praying that way if you are, and agree with me in prayer right now. Would you do that?

Father in Jesus name, I lift up my situation, that I've shared with my brother. And right now, I'm going to do something, that it's hard for me to do. But I am going to thank you, for the situation that I am in. I'm going to thank you that my needs are not being met in this area. I'm going to thank you like Paul, "my necessities are not even being met." I'm going to thank you for the way the other person is affecting my life. I'm thanking you for them, that some way, somehow I am going to give you thanks for this. And I am going to trust you with whatever the results are. So I'm giving you right now my will, to be God to do what needs to be done. Remind me by your Spirit for as long as you want me to, to pray like this, concerning this situation. And every other avenue of life, that comes against me, that's harmful. I am going to just put my faith in you, that his man knows what he is talking about. And that God you will move on my behalf, some how, some way because I thank you. And I praise you in Jesus name. It's also our 22nd wedding anniversary.

What do I want for my birthday and anniversary?
For my wife to be healed. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. 5 Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

God has given us an incredible gift, life. I've been thinking about these three words all day.

Sex is a very personal thing. The scripture says that Adam knew his wife Eve and she conceived and had a child. Very personal and intimate. What does Satan do. He often gets us to look inward or outward (inappropriately) when intimacy is not working God's way. When you are married the issue is compounded because you think that it's just suppose to work. The problem is that the world magnifies what sex is not (the lies), and says nothing about intimacy as God created it (the Truth).

Lies, I want to classify two types of lies. The first is were someone lies, for whatever the reason. The second is where we believe a lie about ourselves. When we believe a lie about our very nature, we believe that we are not good enough, that we are defective, we ask why me, only if, if only, and the list goes on. If we believe the lie long enough, we fall into various sin, guilt and condemnation. This is from Satan the father of lies (John 8:44), and not from the Lord.

The Truth - First and foremost, God's Word is truth. Jesus said I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. He also said Thy Word is truth. If we do not believe and confess His truth (the Word) we are believing and confessing a lie. For all of us (as Christians) this is daily battle, to speak the truth and live it as God's Word declares. In marriage when truth is lacking, trust is broken. This is why adultery is one of the most hurtful trespasses. Our most intimate trust with our spouse is broken. This trust ultimately breaks down the oneness that God designed for marriage.

This is why it is so important to speak the truth, and refuted the lies.

"Notice how the flowers grow. They do not toil or spin. But I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of them. (Luke 12:27-28)

Two years ago my 1978 Simplicity riding lawn mower blew up. We have about 2.5 acres of grass. Last year my brother, Steve, lent me his mower. Earlier this year, Steve fixed the mower lent it back to me, but it blew up again. So my grass has not been mowed since June.
Anyways most of the summer I spent that time bike riding as noted earlier. Several weeks ago I went out into the yard and discovered a truly amazing thing.
The grass grew without my help what-so-ever. God in His infinite mercy brought the rain and sun to cause the grass and trees to continue growing with out my help.
It didn't die and didn't look horrible. Ok, so it only grew so high then leaned over.
In another act of God's mercy, we bought (ok, on credit!) a closeout riding mowers at Walmart. Normally $1700, paid $1150 plus tax. Guess who brought it home, my fantastic brother, Steve.

It was so good to mow my own lawn with a new riding mover that we purchased.

THANK YOU GOD!!!
