Recently on Mount Zion, we met with Israeli Member of parliament Rabbi Benny Elon to videotape an edition of Exploits.TV with a replica of the Biblical Ark of the Covenant supplied by my publisher, Orthodox Israeli Ronny Levy. Ronny is a visionary who is bringing Jews and Christians together through the Knesset's Christian Allies Caucus and other spiritual ventures. Rabbi Benny and Ronny Levy are doing exploits for God by helping to unite the Judeo-Christian streams before the coming of the Messiah. Rabbi Benny told me of the strange direction the spirit of God took him when, at the height of the Intifada uprising, he found himself thrust into the position of Minister of Tourism, even though there were no tourist except for brave Exploits Ministry teams and other courageous believers! He decided not to spend money on advertisements in periodicals such as the The York Times, but instead turned to friends in the churches! It's a new era when Orthodox Jews find their allies in churches! He embraces politics as a rabbi because even though it is not yet the ideal world of the Messiah, he must through politics prevent more bloodshed. Meanwhile an absolute End-time phenomenon occurred the day following our interview on the eve of Chanukah, which celebrates the rededication of the Temple. The reconstituted Biblical Sanhedrin of ruling rabbis ascended the Temple Mount! Three months ago the Sanhedrin was reestablished for the first time in 1,600 years, at the site of its last meeting in Tiberias. A religious legal assembly of 71 sages, the Sanhedrin was the highest Jewish judicial tribunal in Israel. The great court formerly convened in one of the Temple's chambers in Jerusalem, and it was, of course, before this court that Yeshua of Nazareth was condemned. An article about the re-immergence of the Sanhedrin by Arutz Sheva Israel National News made this relevant statement: "A tradition is recorded in the Talmud... that the Sanhedrin will be restored after a partial ingathering of the Jewish exiles, but before Jerusalem is completely rebuilt and restored. Another Talmudic tradition... states that Elijah the Prophet will present himself before a duly-ordained Sanhedrin when he announces the coming of he Messiah. This indicates that despite common misconceptions, a Sanhedrin is a pre-, not post-messianic institution." Indeed, this new Sanhedrin has been reconstituted after only a partial ingathering of Jewish people from the nations in the modern state of Israel! Elijah is coming! Surely Jesus is coming!
